Beirut - Postcards From Italy (3-part Trumpet cover)
this is how I spent my afternoon. it’s a little rough, not perfectly synced…it’s tough to record this stuff without a good computer, good software, real equipment. but I think it’s alright! lemme know what you think :]
haven’t played much since I graduated William & Mary. it’s a shame. I’m damn good at it haha…
Neutral Milk Hotel - In the Aeroplane Over the Sea (guitar & trumpet cover)
my first version of this sounded empty. so I added some sweet sweet brass to it, did some editing and premiere, and BAM. a video I’m happy with. the split screen got screwed up in the end cause I exported the video in a different aspect ratio (lame, rookie mistake!). I still like it. lemme know what you think!
James Franco, if you really play trumpet, than you’re even cooler than I previously thought. even if you don’t, thanks for holding the greatest instrument known to man.
GPOY - Homecoming Edition
so there’s this one photographer at William & Mary who always takes my picture. and they’re always awesome! this was one of the pictures for the Homecoming article on W&M’s webpage. represent!
yes. you know it. band geek through-and-through.
for those of you who didn’t know, I spent 8th grade - 12th grade heavily involved with marching band. those years were filled with some of the best experiences of my life. I marched first trumpet, served as Trumpet Section Leader for two years, and was Drum Major my senior year. I kept up with things by doing Pep Band for all 4 years of College. I was Director for a year with that, and I absolutely loved W&M Pep Band.
this is the first year in a long time I haven’t been involved with Marching Band/Pep Band, and this is the first time I’m realizing it. sad story.
