this is one of the best covers of a song I think I’ve ever seen. really, really solid. I really dig both of their voices, especially the guy’s. the harmonies in the chorus are killer.

my first version of this sounded empty. so I added some sweet sweet brass to it, did some editing and premiere, and BAM. a video I’m happy with. the split screen got screwed up in the end cause I exported the video in a different aspect ratio (lame, rookie mistake!). I like this song. really simple, really beautiful. I don’t know why it took me so long to cover it. I think this turned out pretty well, I’m certainly happy with it. didn’t have the lyrics memorized, so I’m staring down at my computer…but whatever.

The Dangerous Summer - The Permanent Rain (acoustic)

I recorded for the first time in about a month tonight. I’m a big fan of this band and this song. I think my cover turned out alright. it was weird taking a song that’s very much meant for multiple electric guitars and making into an acoustic song.

So I’ve recorded a medley like this before…this time I threw “Dammit” in the middle. I’ve been meaning to do this for a while, so here it is. I think it’s okay.
